Barbora Myslikovjanová

Barbora Myslikovjanová (*1989) studied applied painting at SUPŠ glass in Valašské Meziříč (2006 - 2010) with Leszek Wojaczek and then followed up with studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague (2010 - 2016) in Michael Rittstein's Painting III studio and Vladimír Kokolii's Graphic Studio II .

He uses various art techniques, especially painting with acrylic on canvas and paper, which he eventually combines with acrylic markers, pencil, ink, crayons or oil pastels. In addition to painting, he occasionally devotes himself to poetry, which he also uses in his art. Behind the apparent darkness of Barbora Myslikovjanová's works is hidden an interest in the psychological background of the children's world in all its diversity. The world of children is viewed here through a child's rather than an adult lens. The first painful experiences arise here, and there is also apt humor, which, however, only seems to lighten the image. The second, no less fundamental, theme of Barbora Myslikovjanová is her own self-portrait as a self-analysis and therapeutic process.
